Words I told myself as the grinders blade was still spinning... I stood staring at this open wound, shocked. Somehow, i couldn't fight the urge to snap pix of this chapter of my life.
Funny how we tell ourselves "it's not that bad" ...its only a cut on the index finger of my cutting hand!
This injury has been a real eye opener for me. Needless to say i'm not interested in power tools anymore. I've been learning a lot over the last weeks and will take those lessons with me for the rest of my life.
Its been a year now since injuring my finger.. I think i came back too soon, but i had to get back to the clippers & my clients. Never regained full motion but hey.... the train must keep rollin!!
Week 3 - (range of motion)
Week 5 (still can't make a fist)
What would you let stop you from pursuing your dream or idea?
These graphic images are the result of me keeping my Andis t blade liners under the bathroom sink. You know how it goes... fresh out the shampoo & shower, "that's the best time to shave or cut any hair ..freshly cleaned."
Pull the clippers out, plug em up... you can't beat that convenience, but the only thing is that those hot showers send moisture to the blades leading to rust.
Try storing them in a dry place like your sock drawer. I don't know about you, but I would like to have the least amount of rust in contact with my skin.
